Nadra launches pak-id app
National Database Registration Authority (NADRA)(NADRA) has launched latest PAK-ID mobile application toPAK-ID mobile application to facilitate citizens applying for the national identity card, especially to the overseas Pakistanis,
NADRA chairman Tariq Malik appealed to the general masses to apprise about the performance of the application. The launch of the NADRA’s mobile app has made Pakistan the world’s first country to introduce “ID technology”. Thanks to the Pak ID mobile app, Pakistani citizens no longer need to go to NADRA offices and wait in long queues to get ID cards and family registration cards.
Tariq Malik said that the mobile app includes document identification system and biometric verification facility, citizens can upload necessary documents through the mobile app.
He said photograph, fingerprints and digital signature can also be added to the online application, this initiative will play a very important role in achieving the objectives of Digital Pakistan.
This mobile app will bring immense convenience to all Pakistani citizens, the mobile app will also prove to be a new addition to the achievements of NADRA.
Tariq Malik termed it a revolutionary step in providing convenience, especially to overseas Pakistanis too. “Pakistan becomes trailblazer in ID Management Industry by launching a mobile app which captures biometrics- fingerprints, facial recognition and scan documents needed for processing citizens’ ID cards and documents.”
He said the digital dividends of such technology innovation would yield positive results in financial inclusion, ease of doing business and e-governance initiatives by offering remote identification and e-KYC.
The Nadra chairman said that it would open new vistas for businesses allowing them to be rapidly onboard users and provide modern password-less authentication.
